The highlights of his outstanding career included selection for the Atlanta Olympic Squad and reserve champion grand prix horse at the Nationals in 1994. He was retired early due to Sally-Leigh’s personal commitments but was highly sought after sire until his death in 2002.
A true stamping stallion, his progeny have been highly successful as show hacks and dressage horses. One was a highly successful showjumper later exported and another became a movie star. Lutz was an exceptionally beautiful horse with tremendous presence that made him a poster pin up for many horse enthusiasts. He was famous for his freestyle performances to traditional Aboriginal stamping music.
